“Is this a ‘God thing’ or just me?”
It’s vital to have God’s vision for one’s life, career, and ministry. I want God’s plan. Someone once asked me, “Brother, how can I know if this vision deep within my heart is actually from God or if it’s just me?” Here’s what I’ve picked up from Godly mentors over the years and am still learning presently as an itinerant Evangelist and child of God:
1.) If it captures your imagination and it inspires you every day – it’s very likely a vision from God.
2.) If it seems impossible and you’re unable to achieve it on your own – it’s very likely a vision from God.
3.) If it seems it will never come to pass, but deep down inside you’re unwilling to give up on it – yes, it’s very likely a vision from God.
4.) If not everyone is as enthusiastic about it as you are – it’s very likely a vision from God.
5.) If you have experienced opposition, resistance, difficulty, setbacks and even frustration over it – then it’s very likely a vision from God.
6.) If it seems to consume your thinking and it keeps getting bigger and bigger on the inside – it’s very likely a vision from God.
7.) If it seems to define and shape your very life – yes, it’s likely a vision from God.
A vision from God takes on a life of its own. It inspires, motivates, and will cause you to be willing to give all for its fulfillment. Someone once said, “fear kills more dreams than failure ever will.” Whatever you want to call it: a vision, dream or an assignment, be of good courage and go after it in the power of the Holy Spirit! Through it all, glorify Jesus in the process.
Pray. Plan. Pursue. Be Patient. Persevere.
Dear one, you are destined to win.
