What we are dealing with in the world is not just a complex of human evil (as vast and complete as it is). We are dealing with another level altogether; not just this visible human world, but the invisible demonic realm. Satan's ultimate goal is to prevent people from coming to Christ. His ultimate goal is to take over everything, and to rule in the place of God as the usurper. And he has a goal. He has an objective. He's heading human history toward his 'kingdom' (Rev. 13:1).
But the wicked one rages because he knows his time is short.
Why did Jesus come to this earth? First John 3:8 tells us, "For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that He might destroy the works of the devil."
Satan is a defeated foe. His end is certain and he knows it.
So let us, as Christ followers, stand firm and be strong. We have the victory through Calvary's Bloodstained Cross.
"And they overcame him [the evil one] by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony, and they did not love their lives to the death" (Rev. 12:11).
Let's be bold and tell others what Jesus has lovingly done in our lives, and that He will do the same for them.
And invite unsaved family and friends to church this Resurrection Sunday!
