The enemy of your soul seeks to discourage, depress, ridicule, humilate, tear you down and make you feel as if your entire being has been yanked through a keyhole. He wants to destroy both you and your witness for Christ. The wicked one may even manipulate and use certain human vessels against you.
Stand strong in the Lord.
Stay in faith.
Resist the devil in the Name of Jesus.
Renounce the adversary’s works.
Plead the blood of Christ over your entire being; spirit, soul, and body (and over your entire family).
And remember:
“Put on the whole armor of God that you may be able to stand against the schemes of the devil. For our fight is not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, and against spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places. Therefore take up the whole armor of God that you may be able to resist in the evil day, and having done all, to stand” (Ephesians 6:11-13).
“Be sober and watchful, because your adversary the devil walks around as a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour. Resist him firmly in the faith, knowing that the same afflictions are experienced by your brotherhood throughout the world” (1 Peter 5:8-9).
“God resists the proud,
but gives grace to the humble.”
“Therefore submit yourselves to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. Draw near to God, and He will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners, and purify your hearts, you double-minded” (James 4:6-8).
