There may be parents of grown children who are reading this right now. Due to the dark spiritual climate of today’s culture, it is possible that your son or daughter whom you raised in the nurture and admonition of the Lord, has turned their back on God (and possibly you). They might even seem to act this way to purposely hurt you. Don’t give up. Hold your peace. Stay in faith. You are not alone. Persevere in prayer for them. God hears your heart cry and will answer. Remember, “When He (Jesus) was reviled, he did not revile in return; when he suffered, he did not threaten, but continued entrusting himself to HIm (the Father) who judges justly” (1 Peter 2:23, NLT).
