When I say that since leaving a truly amazing and busy period of ministry in Southern New England (CT, MA, RI) to move to Virginia last June, that some inner doubts arose over time would be an understatement. Thoughts like, “Oh no. Did I miss God in this? Could the Lord be done with me?” among other seeds of doubt which the adversary gleefully planted in my mind (which I’ll not elucidate here). These started keeping me awake some nights. So, I’d open the Bible and camp in the living room late at night or just sit in the dark praying in the Holy Spirit.
But let’s fast forward…
Just a couple of days ago our son had finally been approved to attend a great day program for people with special needs, and this is a BIG answer to prayer, Praise God. In addition, it’s a wonderful blessing to be near my four little grandchildren and be involved in their lives once again. Also, the Holy Spirit has spoken to my heart this very week in very tangible ways that He’s not done with my ministry as an Evangelist as well as a Pastor/Teacher, and there is much more to do. My heart is simply to serve wherever needed. Even after three decades in ministry, I’m still learning (sometimes the hard way) to be thankful to God in all circumstances, to trust Him fully, no matter how negatively things may appear in the natural realm, and watch Him move magnificently in our lives in HIS perfect time.
“To God be the Glory, for Great Things He has done.”
